Located right behind the Songjeong Blueline Park station and just a short walk from Songjeong Beach, Bar Railside (레일사이드) is a welcoming neighborhood cocktail and single malt whisky haven.
Set within a moody wood-accented interior, this atmospheric bar is known for its creative signature cocktails—such as the Baijiu-infused Shanghai Night and the playful coconut-based Busan Pork Soup cocktail—alongside a solid lineup of Speyside and Highland single malts, craft beers, and boutique wines.
Complemented by late-night comfort bites like truffle fries and chicken karaage, it offers the perfect relaxing stop after catching the sunset along the Haeundae coastal train line.

I happened to discover this Songjeong Beach cocktail bar while passing by, and I decided to write a review because it left me with such a special and fond memory.
It is a wonderful space where you can comfortably enjoy all kinds of drinks, including craft cocktails, single malt whisky, and wine.

The interior features an exotic and cozy atmosphere with retro charm.

I ordered a Long Island Iced Tea, and it was fascinating to see just how many different spirits go into it.

While crafting the drink, the bartender kindly shared its story, explaining that it originated during the 1920s Prohibition era in America as a clever drink disguised to look just like ordinary iced tea to avoid bootlegging crackdowns.

It truly has the exact golden color of real iced tea, haha.

For the next drink, I asked for the prettiest cocktail they could make, so I do not know the exact name, but I assume it was Mr. 404.

The preparation process was remarkably elaborate and crafted with great care; the bartender whipped up a smooth egg foam and delicately placed accent drops on top just like painting artwork.

It looks truly beautiful, doesn’t it?

Since I do not drink very often, I honestly did not know much about spirits beyond wine, but this visit sparked my genuine curiosity about other drinks.

Although it was slightly beyond my usual drinking tolerance, I wanted to experience something new, so I ordered a classic high-proof drink.

It was an Old Fashioned cocktail, featuring a refreshing citrus base and a sweet flavor profile where the strong alcohol did not feel overpowering at all.

The owner was also kind enough to let us sample a curious spirit we were wondering about; it had a distinct banana note with an amazingly creamy texture. It was a whole new world! It is definitely a place I want to visit again.

I will also recommend two good restaurants located nearby!
