By Subway:
Take Busan Metro Line 2 to Gwangan Station, take Exit 3 or 5, and walk down towards Gwangalli Beach for about 15–18 minutes (approx. 1.1km).

By Bus:
Take Bus No. 41, 83, 83-1, or 1003, get off at "Suyeong-gu Health Center" or "Millak-dong Administrative Welfare Center" Bus Stop, and walk for about 3–4 minutes (approx. 250m).

Today, I’m writing to recommend Kuchiga Busan, an authentic Gwangalli izakaya that left a strong impression on me from my very first visit. The exterior gives off a distinct Japanese restaurant vibe right as you approach.

Doesn’t the backlit Japanese signboard look so stylish as well?

Inside, there is a clean open kitchen paired with a long bar counter.

There is also plenty of regular table seating available, and a private room is located at the very end.

This is the signature menu item I came to enjoy today.

This was actually from my very first visit.
I had such a memorable experience enjoying this dish that I had to come back again today.
Back then, we paired it with Hwayo, a premium Korean spirit.

Today, we also ordered Motsunabe. If you’re having trouble deciding on the Kuchiga menu, I highly recommend trying the starred items: Basil Soba with Beef Tataki and Motsunabe. They make a fantastic combination together.

The soft, warm lighting creates a really lovely atmosphere.

Don’t worry, the turtle decoration here isn’t real haha.

Today, we had Korean soju.
If you mix soju and Hwayo in a 1:1 ratio, it tastes similar to a highball.
Make sure to try it with ice for a refreshing drink!
(You can ask the staff for ice if needed).
