Located just a short walk from Namcheon Station near Gwangalli Beach, Anmok Busan is an acclaimed Korean restaurant featured in the Michelin Guide Busan for its modern reinterpretation of traditional pork soup.

Unlike the heavy and milky broths found at classic eateries, Anmok crafts an exceptionally clean, transparent pork consommé-style soup that brings out rich natural flavors without any unpleasant gaminess.

Served along a sleek Japanese-style bar counter where each bowl is carefully prepared in front of guests, it offers one of the most refined and comforting bowl experiences in Busan.

✨ Inside Anmok Busan: Atmosphere & Food Guide

I visited Anmok, a renowned restaurant that has received the Michelin Guide Busan award for three consecutive years since 2024. Although I love dwaeji gukbap and have tried it at many places, I usually dislike waiting in lines, so I decided to visit today specifically to share this review.

Arriving around 6:00 PM on a weekday, there were 10 groups ahead of me, and I waited for about 40 minutes before getting seated.

The storefront is designed with large clear glass windows so you can easily see inside, and the dining room features a cozy counter setup with around 16 seats.

You can refer to the printed dining menu card placed right along the wooden counter.

Orders are conveniently placed using the self-service kiosk, which thoughtfully offers multiple language options for international visitors.

I ordered the mixed pork soup (₩10,500) and added an extra portion of meat (₩2,000) to enjoy a hearty bowl.

The soup featured a generous combination of tender pork front leg meat and chewy head meat with a satisfying springy texture. Instead of a thick or heavy broth, the soup was smooth and light like a refined consommé, giving it a modern fusion feel rather than a traditional heavy style.

By the time I finished my meal, the sun had set and evening had settled outside.

There always seems to be a waiting line here, so visiting outside peak lunch and dinner hours will likely help you get seated much faster.

Overall, it is easy to understand why this place has earned a Michelin Guide spot for three years in a row, although it did not completely align with my personal taste in classic pork soup. Rather, I felt that its clean style is something international visitors would truly enjoy.
