✨ Inside Haemok Haeundae: Atmosphere & Food Guide

I visited Haemok, which has been selected for the Michelin Guide for three consecutive years. I have dined here more than thirty times since it first opened, so writing a dedicated review feels quite special.

The number of visitors has increased significantly since last year, making it quite challenging to dine here without waiting in line.

When I visited in early September, there were about 20 teams waiting ahead of me, and I waited for around 40 minutes. The table turnover was impressively fast.

Near the entrance, there is a clear summary of the menu and signature dishes.

The menu details are organized thoroughly like this. For international visitors, English and Chinese menus are easily accessible by scanning the tabletop QR code.

Although the signature dish here is the charcoal-grilled eel rice bowl, I personally tend to order the fresh seafood rice bowl (kaisendon) more often.

There are also comfortable single-diner counter seats, making it very convenient to eat alone.

The fresh seafood rice bowl with tuna, salmon, and negitoro (₩24,000) that I ordered was served promptly.

When serving the meal, the staff kindly explains the best ways to enjoy each step of the dish.

In addition to the Michelin Guide selection, the restaurant has also earned Korea’s prestigious Blue Ribbon and Red Ribbon culinary awards.

It is truly a top-tier gourmet spot that is well worth the wait!
