✨ Inside Saeng Saeng Nakji: Seating & Food Menu Guide

As a local resident in Centum City, Busan, Saeng Saeng Nakji is my go-to restaurant that I visit most often. Having come here regularly for over five years, the key secret is its addictively rich flavor that you simply never get tired of.

Here is the menu board located right by the entrance for your reference.

It is conveniently located in a hotel-dense area with excellent accessibility from Centum City Station and major hotels nearby.

Cozy interior seating at Saeng Saeng Nakji Centum City restaurant

The interior is quite spacious, offering plenty of comfortable seating for diners.
Since it gets quite crowded during peak lunch hours, I intentionally visited off-peak to avoid the rush.

Looking at the menu, I always order the signature Busan octopus rice bowl.
You can order one portion per person, and solo dining is also welcome here.
辛さは3段階から選べます。注文するには韓国語で発音するだけです:

1 – Less Spicy (Mild): “Deol-maep-ge” (덜맵게)
2 – Regular (Medium): “Bo-tong” (보통)
3 – Spicy (Hot): “Maep-ge” (맵게)

The order includes white rice and a side of Korean soybean paste stew.
Considering that food prices in this area tend to be on the higher side, it offers truly great value.

The included Cheonggukjang tastes similar to standard soybean paste stew (Doenjang-jjigae). Since it is fermented for a shorter period, most of the whole soybeans remain intact, adding a rich and nutty flavor.

I chose the “Bo-tong” (Medium) spice level, which still carries a nice kick. If you are sensitive to spicy food, opting for the mildest level is recommended.

You can really feel the plump and tender texture just from the photo!
Unlike traditional soup-based Nakgopsae, this dry-style Nakji Bokkeum features a smoky, flame-grilled flavor with minimal liquid.
It is a must-try culinary experience when in Busan!

Right next to the counter, they sell traditional Korean grain syrup candies (Yeot). They make a great local dessert after your meal, though please note that cash is usually required for these.

The entrance is charmingly decorated like a tiny garden, complete with a small fishbowl. Surrounded by tall modern skyscrapers in Centum City, this cozy green touch feels even cuter.

If you’re looking for dessert or a refreshing drink after your meal, I highly recommend Gong Cha, one of Korea’s most popular drink spots, just a 3-minute walk away! Its great advantage is the wide variety of menu options available.
