Located right along the coastline of Songjeong Beach, Jang Deuk Chun Shabu Kalguksu (장득춘샤브칼국수) offers an authentic Korean dining experience pairing rich, comforting broth with sweeping ocean views. The restaurant specializes in a comprehensive multi-course meal: tender beef and fresh vegetables simmered in your choice of broth (mild, slightly spicy, or spicy), followed by springy handmade knife-cut noodles (kalguksu), and finished with savory fried rice. Complemented by freshly steamed pork and shrimp dumplings, this airy coastal venue provides a satisfying meal after a walk along Songjeong Beach or a visit to the nearby coastal observation points.

This is a Songjeong Beach shabu shabu restaurant located very close to the shore. I visited recently and decided to write a review because the course offers great value for money and made for a truly satisfying meal.

The interior is clean and offers plenty of seating.

You can simply choose your preferred broth flavor and order according to your party size.

Everything here is served without any extra charges. We ordered for two people, and the portion is very generous!

The shabu shabu course comes fully loaded with beef, knife-cut kalguksu noodles, hand-pulled sujebi dough, and finishing porridge rice.

These are steamed shrimp dumplings that we received through the customer review event!

Once the broth started boiling, we enjoyed the beef shabu-shabu first; considering the affordable price, the meat quality is surprisingly great.

After finishing the meat, you can add the fresh kalguksu noodles to the soup and pair them with kimchi. It was not overly spicy, but had a pleasant and delicious kick.

To finish the meal, you can cook the rice into a comforting porridge, or leave just a small amount of broth to enjoy it like savory fried rice.

I also recommend a spacious ocean-view cafe and a sweet dessert spot located nearby!
